Moving WMU into the Future Through the Joy Fund

For more than 118 years, WMU has found perspective by looking to its purpose—to radically involve Christ followers in the mission of God. Through the Joy Fund, WMU is fulfilling its purpose today and preparing for the future. The Joy Fund was established in 2004 to help WMU do just that—to provide a solid financial foundation for WMU, both now and into the future.

In fact, WMU is already using the Joy Fund to meet pressing needs. Although WMU is not in financial jeopardy, the demands of this vibrant and life-changing missions organization are growing each day. Also, national WMU has never received an allocation from the Cooperative Program budget because it remains a self-supporting, non-profit corporation. Through the Joy Fund, we can ensure that adequate resources exist to underwrite the vital work of WMU.

Our goal is to ensure that the financial needs of WMU, at the state and national levels, are met every year. We believe you have the heart and the resources necessary to make this goal a reality. Even if you think your gift is not significant, when combined with those of other Christians, it will be multiplied many times over. You can be sure that your gift will be used responsibly and faithfully for the purpose you envision. After all, the WMU Foundation exists solely to support the mission and ministries of WMU.
