"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging" (Psalm 46:1-3 NIV).

Christian Women's Job Corps ®—How Can You Help?

Financial support is critical for the CWJCSM ministry. Your gifts help fund a ministry that gives women like Amanda Perez, Judy Thurman, and Sheryl Barrett the opportunity to experience freedom in Christ as they learn the skills they need to become self-sufficient.

Give to the CWJC Endowment, which awards local CWJC sites that are creatively and effectively reaching women in their community. The award money is used to further the site's ministries.

Give to the Sybil Bentley Dove Award, awarded annually to a woman who is rebuilding her life. The award money helps the recipient pursue self-reliant living and nurture the development of her children.

Before entering CWJC, Amanda Perez described her life as a "total blank." She is now a Dove Award recipient who is working on a college degree in social work. Amanda wants to help those who are less fortunate. She still volunteers at the CWJC site that made such a difference in her life. Amanda Perez, Texas, 2004 recipient

After losing her job, her children, and her home, Judy Thurman was tired of living with no hope. She completed a CWJC job readiness program and began working at the Humane Society. This 2000 Dove Award recipient was able to move into a home with her children and purchase a car. Her faith helps her through the difficult times.

Life's circumstances left Sheryl Barrett (pictured on right) a homebound adult with no job skills and no real ability to function outside of her home. She dreamed of becoming independent and buying her own home. Her mentor Laura Cook (pictured on left), now describes Sheryl as a woman of confidence and self-reliance.
